I am so happy that I got to participate for the first time in "Petal It Forward" event today, Oct. 20th of 2021!!
"Petal It Forward" is a nationwide campaign, in which the florists of American Society get together and spread the joy and happiness by giving away flowers for free! It is a true random act of kindness! And for each person, they get two bouquets, one for them to keep and another one for them to give away to whoever they choose! This is so that they can experience the joy of receiving and the other joy of also giving flowers!
I have made 20 bouquets and handed all of them out today! People were so grateful, some came back to thank me again and to tell me how much they appreciated such kindness! It was so wonderful to see happy faces of my neighbors who weren't expecting this at all! I think that was the best part, a random act of kindness and with flowers, it made the surprise even more beautiful!
A big thank you goes out to our local wholesale flower market, Frank Adams and Bill Doran. They were also participating in the event and offered me flowers at a fraction of cost so that I could make these bouquets and give them away for free! I am sending them big hugs!!
And I can't think of a better way to celebrate the third anniversary of Kawa Flowers than exactly this!! Giving back and sharing the joy of flowers with our beloved community!
