Christmas 2018

The months went by so fast, I am still trying to gather my thoughts on what I want to recollect from December. So many things have happened, new relationships, holiday preparations, gift exchanging, shopping, etc. But of course the ones that I hold dear to my heart are the ones that always has something to do with people themselves!

The first Christmas flower order was from a non profit organization in the same building where my studio is. The lady that I know who works there dropped by and asked me if I could help with their fund raising event, and of course I said "Yes!" They are such wonderful people, helping to build our community. She asked me if I could make centerpieces at $15 and I said, "Sure!" One side of me asked myself, "You can?" and another side of me answered, "Yes, I sure can!" I crossed out the business as usual quickly and knew that this was going to be my gift to them. The centerpieces that I made for them were beautiful lush arrangements in a gold geometric vase, something way beyond anything they imagined. I also decorated their table with a long cedar garland that was not even part of a request, something I knew that they would appreciate! The ladies there were so happy to see all the decorations for their very important event! And for moments like these, I was grateful that I was running my own business. I am glad that I can say yes to something and know the only person I have to answer to is someone really high up there.

I am so grateful to wrap up the year 2018 with so much happiness! I opened my business this year, took a lot of courage but now I am living out my dreams everyday and I could not be more grateful! And so much to look forward to, in 2019! Here is a cheers to creating more beauty, to more adventures and to more love, laughter and gratitude! See you in the new year!
